They sensed it like a premonition of a better time to come
as a memory of one heard before: a possibility, an unknown, a dream
They heard it from the powers up above
that I was here, had arrived, did exist
and would unfold a vision of the future
And I did and then they did not listen
I said that Capitalism would end.
That the towers of money which rule the earth
would crumble while we built a brave new
world. But they were not ready to try
I said that we would fall
into each others souls and last
surviving in new opened darkness
of the all. But they were not ready to love
I told them of a wealthy other world
a place of horror and truth into which
they could walk at will and would.
But they were not ready to go
And now they gnash their teeth against me
ready to tear the flesh from my bones
in anger and contempt
that I did not give them what they asked for
When they welcome me we will walk in peace
and what I have foretold will come to pass
